Galería de la Raza’s performing arts programs involve a variation of multimedia viewings such as film screenings, theater, spoken word, literary readings, performance art and music. Galería curates these productions to compliment the visual arts programs on view and to further extend the community dialogue outside of the visual arts.
MISS & MR. SAFE LATINO
Presented by Instituto Familiar de la Raza and Si A La Vida, Miss & Mr. Safe Latino is a community awareness event and celebration of the LGBTQ+ Latinx community in San Francisco. Contestants showcase their artistic talents to promote health and wellness issues affecting the Latinx LGBTQ+ community to compete for one of three titles: Miss Transgender (TG) Safe Latina, Miss Safe Latina, and Mr. Safe Latino.

Guest curated by some of the Bay Area’s most dynamic wordsmiths, Lunada Literary Lounge invites literary performers of all levels for this community gathering and open mic where stories, songs, and spirits are shared.
