Yolanda Garfias-Woo

Yolanda Garfias Woo is a San Francisco native. She is a textile artist specializing in Mesoamerican textiles, and an ethnographer who has concentrated her research in Mexico's folk customs and art. Her knowledge of Mexican folk traditions such as the altares and pan dulce (sweet bread) were crucial to the founding of Galería's Day of the Dead celebrations.
