Galería de la Raza relies on the generosity of the many members, community stakeholders and foundations that have supported our innovative arts and performance programming over the years.  For us, the power of what we do lies in the trickle down effect of the many who view and participate in our programs and the hundreds of artists that create works in our space; each contributes in making Galería a vibrant community arts center.

We encourage first-time or recurring individual donors to ramp up their support by donating towards a specific program fund that takes into account an area of interest. By donating to a specific program, you can take part in growing a vision for that program area and to make it as successful and accessible as possible. 

PROGRAM AREA DESCRIPTIONS

My Galería  – The My Galería Fund is a fund that supports the general operation expenses of the Galería and keeps our lights on; e.g. utilities, rent and security.

Innovator / Excavator Fund –The Innovator Fund supports exhibitions by emerging multi-disciplinary artists in group or solo shows that display a fresh approach to their work and an uncanny global-local perspective. This fund  supports materials, travel, catalog and other exhibition-related expenses.

The Bomba Fund –  The Bomba Fund allows Galería to present a wide array of both experimental and traditional genres from leading Latina dance, theatre, spoken word and literary performers to new audiences in the Bay Area.

Visionaries Fund – The Visionaries Fund provides support for career development and exhibition opportunities for Latina/o artists. Programs include a speaker series, artist residencies, workshops and open lab time for artists to use our media equipment.

Youth Media Program Fund –  Galeria’s Youth Media Program has been running an exciting and rigorous interdisciplinary media arts program for at-risk youth in our geographical area. The program supports high-quality instructors and access to the program for 6-8 students per class.  Learn more about the program projects!

Digital Mural Fund - The Digital Mural Fund is a favorite of the community. The mural stands for a period of three to five weeks on our Bryant St. mural and displays imagery that resonates with the issues fueling our collective mind.
