Carlos Villez
"My name is Carlos Villez and I was born in the state of Michoacan, Mexico now living with my wife in San Jose, Ca. I am a self taught artist with a love for all Mexican art. I work with a variety of different media but primarily with polymer clay. I am inspired by the wonderful Mexican celebration of Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). I grew up in one of the states within Mexico that celebrates this Day with beauty and artistry that even as far as I am from home, I can and will not forget. I love the amazingly bright colors of Mexico and incorportate these colors as you can see in the fotos of my work. This is a limited sampling of the work I have created in the last 5 years and I am still creating more pieces" - Carlos Villez

Frolick Jewelry
"Adrienne has a distinctive design style that is expressed by mixing unexpected colors and shapes. She describes her line as vintage modern. As an avid traveler she is inspired by unique charms, unusual pendants and other treasures she finds during her excursions around the world. “Much of my inspiration comes from butterflies... Just like a butterfly, each piece of Frolick jewelry is a unique little treasure."

Itzpaplotl
"Itzpapalotl: Mariposa de Obsidiana. Esencia femenina nocturna de la tierra, conocen los secretos de la vida y de la muerte desde otros estados de conciencia. La fuerza y decision del Guerrero. Itzpapalotl is armed with claws of a jaguar and her wings tipped with obsidian. She ruled Tomoanchan, a paradise where it is believed the human race was born. A Warrioress, in Aztek Mythology. Itztli in Nahuatl is Obsidian and Papalotl means Butterfly. In an Aztek traditional story it is believed that butterflies flew into the sky to become the stars"

Raul Aguilar
"My work explores traditional notions vof what beauty is. I get inspired by things as diverse as comic books, folk toys, graffiti and tattoo imagery. I have concentrated my art education to independent study and experimentation. For me creating paintings, installations and art objects is a continuing process of expressing ideas, creating beauty (or horror) and expressing ideas from the personal to the political. Born in Mexico City, I currently live in San Francisco. My work has been exhibited in several museums in Northern California."
