Liz Lerma is a community arts activist, performance artist, political trickster, Velcro Symphony composer and conductor, mixed media, fused glass and ceramic sculptor, painter, poet, teacher, curandera, master of ceremonies and cultural laboratory technician, posing as revived Aztec legend, Ixtacihuatl (Ixta). Preferring to laugh, rather than cry, she loves to engage the public in meaningful socio-cultural experiments and art interventions.
