Run Bush Run

Friday, September 26, 2003 - Monday, January 26, 2004

Lalo Alcaraz's Run Bush Run brought into public space a cartoon that captured the growing distrust in the White House’s justifications for going to war in Iraq.

CURATORIAL STATEMENT As it the 9-11 hearings revealed that the Bush administration had more information regarding terrorist threats than it was willing to acknowledge and that WMDs would not be found in Iraq, Run Bush Run brought into public space a cartoon that captured the growing distrust in the White House’s justifications for going to war. Alcaraz's billboard was seriously tagged by SF writer, Ribity. Galeria also posted an Open Letter to Ribity. Which was printed and pasted on the billboard site. A public debate ensued on the Internet. See the related documents (Open Letter to Ribity and Internet debate) by clicking on the Review and Documents Section of this exhibit.
