In celebration of Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, Galeria is hosting three days of events examining representations of death through the Latina filmmaker’s lens. Come have a spooky time with us! Schedule of events below:

* NOTE: The time has changed for Saturday, November 2. The event now starts at 6 PM not 3 PM. 


THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31*
6 PM- Screening of Vuelven (Tigers Are Not Afraid), directed by Issa López
7:30 PM- Screening of Culture Shock, directed by Gigi Saul Guerrero
*come in costume/bring an ofrenda for the community altar.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1
5:30 PM- Screening of El Velador, directed by Natalia Almada
7 PM- Discussion panel with Dr. Orquidea Morales, PhD.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2
6 PM- Dia de los Muertos Celebration & Remembrance featuring Taller Bombalele
