Galería de la Raza is collaborating with Chef Pilar Cabrera, owner of La Olla Restaurant in Oaxaca to bring you a Mezcal y Salsa Tasting as part of our programming for #ComidaEsMedicina!

Chef Pilar is announcing her upcoming cookbook release for 2019 and the inspiration for the new book came from her rich family history!

Read her statement below: 

"After a conversation among friends, the idea came to me for this new cookbook, a book where we present my family’s history behind each recipe.

We also pay a lot of attention to the ingredients as their quality is fundamental to the recipes. That’s why we will take the time to visit each and every one of the local producers whose ingredients are being used.

Because behind each beautifully plated dish, there is a farm worker that has worked long days to harvest the product and a recipe is nothing without a great, fresh ingredient and the people who produce it.

This next book is a result of a collective process, written with love and passion, the key ingredients of any delicious recipe."
